The Stick of Fire is a unique configuration of magnesium and ferrocerium, a new format of compact survival fire-starting devices.
It’s formed into a unitary rod, half of which is magnesium and half is ferrocerium.
An efficient size for getting a good grip while still being compact enough to fit into even the smallest survival kit.
Using the included Ceramic Micro Striker/Scraper, scrape of shavings of the magnesium (the silver portion) to use as an accelerant, and then strike the ferrocerium (the black portion) to create sparks to ignite the magnesium shavings.
